This is the first appearance of Smokey the Bear, created by Rudy Wendelein with Jack Sparling art. The Future is Now (1969) is promotional giveaway comic distributed by the U.S. Social Security Administration which discusses social security for young people via four story narratives. Several pages cover the history of the social security system from 1935 to 1976. Full color, standard comic book dimensions, all newsprint, no cover price.

The legendary Gabby Hayes, sidekick of all sidekicks in 1940s Western movies, takes the starring role in this series of mini-comics. They were distributed as a set of 5 for a Quaker Oats mail-in premium, likely published by Fawcett. This was the envelope for the set. Includes a note to the local Postmaster, and artwork of Gabby's face, probably by the same unidentified artist as the Giveaway comics and Fawcett's Gabby Hayes Western series. May or may not have recipient address, postmarks and other markings. 7-in. x 3-in., B&W with Red.

Gary Gibson Comics (1950) is a promotional comic book published by the National Dunking Association and given away folded into boxes of donuts by participating bakers. Due to original folding, high grade copies are very rare. Comic originally came with a membership pin and membership card. In addition to a Gary Gibson western adventure, the comic includes instructions and ideas for having a donut dunkin' contest.
