Published by M. Philip Copp, with artwork by John Prentice. In comic book format, the history of powered flight is told, beginning with the Wright Brothers through the early 1900s, then into World War 2. Also included is a brief history of the barnstormers and aviation advancements during the 1920s and 30's, plus a few examples of the more famous planes from the various periods up to 1953. The history of aviation as a business is also covered. Pearl Harbor, as well as kamikaze attacks and the dropping of the atomic bomb by the Enola Gay, are depicted. Extensive information about World War 2 aviation flows throughout the second half of the comic, followed by a page on the Korean War, and the Berlin airlift. The last page, "And Tomorrow" deals with our future is space, with a depiction of a giant spacecraft. Partial color, no cover price.
