This issue reprints Harvey Comics Library #2, which in turn reprints strips from June 22 - December 13, 1950. Young Sparkle Plenty becomes a TV star, but this attracts unwanted attention from protection racketeer T.V. Wiggles. Vitamin Flintheart alerts Tracy to T.V. Wiggles' threats against Sparkle Plenty. Wiggles scuffles with Tracy and gets away, then plots a terrible revenge against Sparkle Plenty. Did you know THIS about Pennsylvania (circa 1950's) is a sequel-companion book to "Quaint and Interesting Cartoons about Pennsylvania". Sub-titled "A Second Book of Cartoon Sidelights of the Keystone State". Both are promotional booklet's distributed by the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce. There are 2 or 3 cartoons on each page with some really neat facts about Pennsylvania regarding industry (agriculture, energy, tourism), the people (Pennsylvania Dutch, Quakers etc), the land, historical persona and locations, etc. Some great stuff here. 32 pages, B&W, art and done in the Ripley's Believe It Or Not style of comic art.

Published by Einson-Freeman Co., Long Island City, NY. While it is an advertisement for Sears, it does encourage the youngsters of the time to save their "nickles and dimes" to buy War Bonds. Note the back cover that tells what "war savings stamps would buy for Uncle Sam". 12 pages, full color, 8-in. x 10.75-in., all newsprint.

A rare copy of the famed Down Under Cafe and Restaurant in the RCA Building in Rockefeller Center dated Monday, July 20, 1942. This menu features all the insignia of rank of the United States Marine Corps in World War II. Inside marvel at the prices, for example a Meat Loaf with brown gravy and hash browns for .50! Inside also is a government ad: "For the United States Victory use one tablet or teaspoon of sugar PLEASE." The entire back page is the Drink List. 7-in. x 11-in., single sheet on cardstock folded vertically, partial color.
