Jackson and Natch wind up in a runaway hot air balloon and get stranded in a jungle inhabited by cannibals; Buster and the boys try to figure out how to get money to attend a beach party; Jackson ends up doing all of Natch's chores while waiting for Natch to come home. "Roving marshal" Lash investigates the masked bandit who's robbing stagecoaches, but little does he know that it's the stagecoach driver himself in disguise. While the saloon is darkened for the performance of Kitty Kildare, the "Prairie Nightingale," a mysterious figure commits murder, and Lash must figure out who. Dusty gets involved in a contest to tell the best Western story to a visiting writer, but his tales are pretty tall.
