Alex Toth's 1991 Harvey Awards BallotPublished 1991Alex Toth's 1991 Harvey Awards Ballot
Founded in 1988, the Harvey Awards were unique amongst the various accolades in comics as they were voted on solely by comics professionals as opposed to fans or retailers. The awards' 1990 ceremony inducted legends Alex Toth and Steve Ditko into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame, and it would seem based on how Toth chose to fill out his ballot for the 1991 awards that neither he nor Ditko were ever given the physical awards to go along with their induction. While Ditko, who famously shunned awards, probably didn't mind all that much, Toth wanted to make sure that Harvey Awards administrator Paul McSpadden was aware of the slight. 17" x 11" (unfolded).
