Issue # 6 features The Demon in "The Tower Doom of Venus!" (guest starring the Deadman and Graviteer), with art and story by Buddy Saunders, owner of Lone Star Comics and mycomicshop.com. In this issue, the editor notes Saunders' use of a then innovative "wide-angle" panel, a device first used by Kirby in early "Adventures of the Fly" issues, and later used by Steranko in "Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD." The use of "wide-angle" panels is now a common feature in "widescreen" comics like "The Ultimates" and "The Authority."     Fighting Hero Comics No. 10 (1964), the first fanzine devoted entirely to amateur comic strips. The brainchild of G.B. Love, it served as a companion zine to the Rocket's Blast (soon to become the RBCC) adzine he published. Historic significance and features include: The 2nd appearance of The Eye in a classic cover and amazing strip by fandom great Biljo White. Includes a letter from a young fanboy named George R. R.     Fighting Hero Comics #12 (1964) was the first fanzine devoted entirely to amateur comic strips. The brainchild of G.B. Love, it served as a companion fanzine to the Rocket's Blast (soon to become the RBCC) adzine he published. Historic significance and features include: Dimension Man classic cover and strip by legendary artist Ronn Foss. Dimension Man was one of the first ama-hero strips ever produced. Created by Foss and Parley Holman in Holman's Spotlite #1 (1961), the character became very popular, showing up in other early fanzines including the original Alter Ego. Ditto printed.     Fighting Hero Comics #14 (1964) was the first fanzine devoted entirely to amateur comic strips. The brainchild of G.B. Love, it served as a companion fanzine to the Rocket's Blast (soon to become the RBCC) adzine he published. Comics: "The Origin of the Lion" by Biljo White, plus two pages early Buck Rogers comic strip reprints. Cover price $0.65.
