Welcome Aboard British Overseas Airways Corporation in-flight magazine was given free to passengers. This edition was intended for passengers bound for the United States in 1970. The main feature is an A-Z introduction/history/trivia article about the United States. Highlights include R is for Ray Bradbury and his short story "McGillahee's Brat" with an illustration by Pauline Ellison, R is also for Raquel Welch and Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. Also includes a two-page color strip by Frank Bellamy entitled "John Adams in Birth of a Nation", W is for Western with a lot of movie stills reproduced and so on. There are also all the current flights BOAC flew and actors were interviewed about their favorite city: Robert Ryan on Chicago, Lena Horne on London, Joan Fontaine on Beirut and Eli Wallach on Mexico City (and tequila). 6-in. x 8 1/4-in., 104 pages, full color.
