Story by Lee Falk. Art and cover by Ray Moore. Pacific Comics Club reprints the comic-strip adventures of the seemingly immortal crime-fighter called The Phantom. Collects The Phantom daily pages from July 29 to Dec. 14, 1940, colorized (the original strips were in black and white). First printed in Italy for comics art collectors, this does not feature Lee Falk's original text, but is translated back into English from Italian. Likewise, the Phantom's costume is red on the cover, which is how the character appears in Italy. While on a pleasure cruise with Diana and her mother, The Phantom recognizes the notorious businessman and smuggler Alvar. Following Alvar to his secret lair, The Phantom and Diana face a deadly chase and a struggle for survival. 13-1/2-in. x 9-1/2-in., 48 pages, Full Color.
