Tigra Character Designs by Jack Kirby 1980s Though this design did not appear in the finished issue, this piece was likely drawn for Kirby's 1985 New Gods opus The Hunger Dogs, which saw Orion rescuing Tigra from Apokalips as Darkseid's empire crumbled around him. In the story Apokalips experiences a citizen's revolt with Darkseid makes a desperate run to find and kill Himon, the inventor of the Mother Box. When he makes it through the chaos and finds Himon, he is helping Orion load an injured Tigra into their getaway ship. Signed and dated '83 in the lower left of the piece.
