The very first full-length comic book reprinting Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fifth year; numerous daily strips are presented in full color. (In some strips, the comic-book colorist gave Charlie Brown "hair.") The shape of Charlie Brown's head plays against him in hide and seek. Charlie Brown seeks a sponsor to play softball, in what could be one of the earliest Peanuts baseball strips. Charlie Brown meets the "new girl," Violet, and so does Snoopy. This rare issue was actually published by United Features Syndicate during their brief period as a comic-book publisher; Dell published the subsequent issues.
