Written, illustrated, and published by Jim Rugg. In 1988, Vietnam veteran and ex-Green Beret, John J. Rambo pushed the Soviets out of Afghanistan. With the Ruskies gone, the Taliban, led by the anti-Soviet Mujahideen, seized power in Kabul. After apparently forgetting how awesome and badass Rambo is, the Taliban gave refuge to Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist gang - Al Queda. Rambo 3.5 won the 2010 Ignatz Award for Outstanding Mini-Comic. It was an honorable mention in Best American Comics and published in a sweet German edition as part of the Zwerchfell Black Label series. It was reprinted in Treasury of Mini-Comics Volume Two (Fantagraphics). 4.25" x 5.5". 32 pages. Black and white.

La Voz De M.A.Y.O Tata Rambo GN (2019 Image) 1-1ST

    (see more images)

    1st printing.

Writtenby Henry Barajas. Art and cover by J. Gonzo.

LA VOZ DE M.A.Y.O: TATA RAMBO is based on the oral history of Ramon Jaurigue, an orphan and WWII veteran who co-founded the Mexican, American, Yaqui, and Others (M.A.Y.O.) organization, which successfully lobbied the Tucson City Council to improve living and working conditions for members of the Pascua Yaqui tribe, paving the way to their federal recognition. Meanwhile, Ramon's home life suffered as his focus was pulled from his family to the wider community, and from domesticity to the adrenaline of the campaign.

A resonant, neglected slice of American history is brought to life for the first time with art by J. GONZO, letter art by BERNARDO BRICE, editing by CLAIRE NAPIER, and a script by HENRY BARAJAS-the great-grandson of Ramon Jaurigue, a.k.a. Tata Rambo.

    Softcover, 128 pages, full color.

    Cover price $16.99.
