By David Currie. Foreword by Mark S. Ditko.
The first in depth biography of comics-legend Steve Ditko, in his own works, taken from years of correspondence with author David Currie and endorsed by the Ditko family with a Foreword by Mark S. Ditko.
Steve Ditko was the last of a generation of American comic book artists who created powerful modern-day mythology and became among the most influential and original creators of the 20th century. He co-created Spider-Man along with Stan Lee, but walked away from the character in the 1960s just as it was gaining popularity. He died alone at 90, known to the comic book industry as a "cranky recluse."

By JOE HARRIS and CHARLIE ADLARD Dark Horse Comics is proud to publish the comic book prequel to this fall's horror film hit-in-the-making! The Tooth Fairy: The Tragic Life of Matilda Dixon serves as a prologue to the film, recounting the century-old events that set a horrifying cycle of violence in motion. The movie stars Emma Caulfield (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and is slated for January 2003 release. The comic book is written by Joe Harris (X-Men) and drawn by Charlie Adlard (The X-Files). The comic focuses on a defining moment in the history of Port Fairy, a small fishing village. Matilda Dixon, a once-beautiful, now-disfigured widow has developed a special relationship with the children of Port Fairy. They bring her their recently shed baby teeth in exchange for coins. However, the mask-clad Dixon's familiarity with the town's children alarms their parents, and when two children go missing a lynch mob gathers to make Matilda pay... In The Tooth Fairy: The Tragic Life of Matilda Dixon, Joe Harris and Charlie Adlard have crafted a horrifying yet heartbreaking tale of loss and loneliness. The claustrophobic small-mindedness of Port Fairy conjures up images of the Salem witch trials and the tragic ending of the book sets the stage for the vengeance and neo-gothic horror of the upcoming Tooth Fairy film. On sale January 1 FC, 32pg (one-shot) . . . $2.99 Cover price $2.99.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. Story by Mark Evanier. Art by Sergio Aragones. Wraparound cover by Sergio Aragones. Sword and sorcery comedy from Sergio Aragones, as Groo's skill with the sword is only exceeded by his stupidity, making him dangerous to friend and foe alike. The second Groo graphic novel presents the life story of the obtuse adventurer, showing that his propensity for destructive chaos started during the earliest years of his life. A small print run for this edition prompted an outcry from Groo fans, resulting in the Graphitti Designs reissue two years later. Followed by Groo (1994 Image) #1. 64 pages, Full Color.
