1st printing. By Gareth L. Powell.
The warship Trouble Dog was built and bred for calculating violence, yet following a brutal war, she finds herself disgusted by conflict and her role in a possible war crime. Seeking to atone, she joins the House of Reclamation, an organisation dedicated to rescuing ships in distress. But, stripped of her weaponry and emptied of her officers, she struggles in the new role she's chosen for herself. When a ship goes missing in a disputed system, Trouble Dog and her new crew of misfits and loners, captained by Sal Konstanz, an ex-captain of a medical frigate who once fought against Trouble Dog, are assigned to investigate and save whoever they can.
Meanwhile, light years away, intelligence officer Ashton Childe is tasked with locating and saving the poet, Ona Sudak, who was aboard the missing ship, whatever the cost. In order to do this, he must reach out to the only person he considers a friend, even if he's not sure she can be trusted. What Childe doesn't know is that Sudak is not the person she appears to be. Quickly, what appears to be a straightforward rescue mission turns into something far more dangerous, as Trouble Dog, Konstanz and Childe, find themselves at the centre of a potential new conflict that could engulf not just mankind but the entire galaxy.
If she is to survive and save her crew, Trouble Dog is going to have to remember how to fight.

ENEMY ACE: WAR IDYLL is an exquisitely painted work that boldly exhibits the mental anguish and emotional despair that afflicts war veterans throughout their lives. While being interviewed by a Vietnam vet, Enemy Ace, the greatest combat pilot of World War I, relives the horror of his fighting days. As he relives his adventures as a German pilot, it becomes apparent that although separated by generations and having fought in different wars, these two men suffer from the same emotional affliction. In its graphic nature, this book reveals that some of the greatest casualties of war are the survivors. Softcover, 96 pages, full color. Cover price $14.95.

1st printing. Story and art by Olivier Kugler. From the front lines of the Syrian refugee crisis. While on assignment between 2013 and 2017, often for Doctors Without Borders, Olivier Kugler interviewed and photographed Syrian refugees and their caregivers in camps, on the road, and in provisional housing in Iraqi Kurdistan, Greece, France, Switzerland, and England. Escaping Wars and Waves is the astonishing result of that record keeping-a graphic novel that brings to life the improvised living conditions of the refugees, along with the stories of how they survived. Kugler captures the chaotic energy of the camps through movement-filled drawings that depict figures, locations, and seemingly random details that take on their own resonance. He gives precedence to the voices of the refugees by incorporating excerpts from his many interviews and portraits sketched from thousands of reference photos. What emerges is a complicated and intense narrative of loss, sadness, fear, and hope and an indelible impression of the refugees as individual humans with their own stories, rather than a faceless mass. Escaping Wars and Waves is an unnervingly close and poignant look at the lives of those affected by the Syrian war and the volunteers who tend to them. Softcover, 9-in. x 12-in., 80 pages, full color. Cover price $18.95.

Art and Introduction by Ferdinando Tacconi.
Originally published in War Picture Library (1958-1984 IPC/Fleetway) UK #49 and Air Ace Picture Library (1960-1970 Fleetway) #11, 37 and 54, these four stories showcase the art of the great Ferdinando Tacconi.
His style is immediately recognizable, with a very clear line work and some interesting curly cues done in pen and ink.
He wisely used an uncluttered art that, with the passage of time, became more and more limited to the essential. The care he applied to the environment and details of each panel he drew, especially in his way of presenting vehicles or his beloved aircraft, made him one of the top artists around the world. In fact, Tacconi would never hide his deep love for flying machines, which accompanied him throughout his career, both inside and outside the comic pages he drew.
