1995. Self-published prospectus by Doselle Young for "Crimeface", a comic series he envisioned. From "The Pitch": "Crimeface is a noir-influenced, super-hero/adventure series featuring an unlikely trio of protagonists -- a former heavyweight boxer, a murdered pulp hero, and a quixotic young debutante -- as they bring justice to a golden city known only for blood and violence. The hope is to marry elements of classic radio adventure serials like Fran Striker's "Green Hornet" with both the larger-than-life sensibilities of Max Fleischer's animated "Superman" and the post-modern viewpoint of books like Kurt Busiek's "Astro City" or James Robinson's "Starman"." Includes character descriptions with illustrations, sample pages, and plot breakdowns by proposed issue. A fascinating look at the comic making process by a very talented creative voice. 8.5" x 11". 12 single-sided pages, comb-bound in acetate covers. Black and white.
