1st printing. By David Yurkovich. Writer David Yurkovich (Less Than Heroes) has collaborated with over a dozen of the comic industry's best-known writers and authors to produce a benefit project for writer Bill Mantlo. Mantlo was a prolific author who wrote almost exclusively for Marvel throughout the 1970s and into the late 1980s. He scripted nearly every major Marvel character including Spider-Man, Iron Man, and the Hulk, and brought toy products like Rom and Micronauts to Marvel. Mantlo's creations include Cloak And Dagger. In the early 1990s, Mantlo sustained severe head injury after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. He has required full-time nursing care ever since. This book is a retrospective of Mantlo's career, with comments and reflections from many of his industry colleagues, as well as members of Mantlo's family.
