"Faithful Servant" Script by Bob Harras. Art by Bob Hall (breakdowns) and Kyle Baker (finishes). Cover by John Buscema and Tom Palmer. Jarvis lies in a hospital bed while he recovers from his severe injuries sustained at the hands of the Masters of Evil. Once his body heals, the Avengers' long-time butler has a big decision to make! Permanently retire or return to the Avengers? Before Jarvis makes up his mind, he takes a walk down memory lane from the earliest days of the Avengers to the present time. The loyal butler reflects upon his first meetings with Thor, the Wasp, the Hulk, and Hawkeye; his first conversations with Captain America, the Vision, and Mantis; and his first encounter with Ultron. Jarvis also recalls some of the Avengers (who like himself) fell upon hard times such as Henry Pym, Quicksilver, the Swordsman, and Iron Man. But when the time of reflection is over, Jarvis reaches a decision! What will it be? An inspiring story! Cameo appearance by Tony Stark. (Notes: This issue provides an excellent recap of the history of the Avengers from Jarvis' perspective. This issue also contains new behind-the-scenes details of events that took place inside the mansion.) 32 pages Cover price $0.75.
