Flash Thompson learns the hard way that a man cannot outrun his past. During his tour in Vietnam, Flash discovered a sacred hidden temple in the jungle. And despite his best efforts to save the temple, it was destroyed by artillery fire. Now several months later followers from the temple are in New York for revenge. Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy, and the Military Police try their best to protect Flash, but the death squad from Vietnam grabs him! And next issue the wall-crawler will go for broke to save his long-time rival: Flash Thompson! First appearance of Sha Shan Nguyen. Cameo appearances by Aunt May and Harry Osborn.
