Comic books December 1966

The Beatles Book (also known as Beatles Monthly) was a long-running fanzine produced by Beat Publications that was dedicated to the legacy of the incredible pop-culture phenomenon known as The Beatles. First published in August 1963, the magazine ran until production stopped with the 77th issue published in December,1969. It was revived in May, 1976, reprinting the first 77 issues with a few pages of added content. Beat Publications then continued producing new issues in October, 1982 until the publication ultimately ceased production with issue #321 printed in January, 2003. 6" x 8", 46 pages, B&W.

Capa-alpha was the first amateur press association (APA) dedicated to comic books, started by Jerry Bails (later issues edited by Don and Maggie Thompson), wherein contributers donate pages to each issue which is then compiled and sent to the members. Tigers and Traitors, 3rd Printing, Painted Cover. Art by Norman Nodel. (HRN 167, with 11/66 date). A record of two thousand pounds was posted by the British for the capture of Nana Sahib, one of the prime movers of the Sepoy Revolt of 1857 in India. Colonel Munro, who had lost his wife in the revolt, hated Nana Sahib with a deadly passion. Then a chance to invitation to join a hunting party touring the north of India brought Colonel Munro face to face with his mortal enemy. Cover price $0.15.
