Based on the 1954 film "Long John Silver" starring Robert Newton, this comic presents the famed pirate as a hero, sailing the seas with his faithful pal Jim. Long John Silver joins the mutiny on the Hispaniola, but not for the same reasons as the others, and his protection of a cabin boy turns the other pirates against him. After the Treasure Island adventure, Silver and Jim battle pirates of a different kind in his new inn in Bristol. Wealthy Randall wants to strand his niece Ellen on a remote tropical island to inherit her fortune, but when Ellen meets handsome sailor Neil, suddenly being stranded doesn't sound so bad.
