Mama, the Inspector and most of all the Captain bear the brunt of Hans and Fritz's mean-spirited pranks, but the Kids always get it in the end. The Captain and The Inspector manage to convince Mama that a nearby tree is a "Wishing Tree." Fritz the monkey imitates everything he sees the Captain do, and before he knows what's happening, the Captain is getting spanked by a monkey.
