Comic books July 1940

Vintage monthly published magazine with a focus on the film industry as a whole. First published in November of 1930, publication continued through the late 1970s. Priding itself as a source for exclusive behind the scenes stories about filmmaking, Silver Screen also contained a fair amount of articles about celebrities, their relationships, the latest in fashion, and film reviews. The Skipper # 515 - July 13th 1940. Published in Britain by D.C. Thompson & Co. Ltd. These war time magazines feature action, adventure, Sci-Fi, and pulp stories. This issue features the tale of the man who was brought back to life by pressing an electric switch starring Captain Zoom, Birdman of the R.A.F. and other stories. Text with B&W illustrations, 28 pages, newsprint, 8.5-in. x 12-in. Not a comic book.
