Early in the transformation of comic strips to comic books, United Features Syndicate published Comics on Parade as a showcase for its most popular strips, including Tarzan, Li'l Abner and Nancy. Rokoff may be gone, but Tarzan and Jane's troubles are far from over, in the adaptation of The Beasts of Tarzan with art by Rex Maxon. Dilbury manages to convince Looy to go to the planetarium rather than a stag party, but that's because he wants Looy's ticket for himself. Alice meets Tweedledee and Tweedledum and hears the story of The Walrus and the Carpenter. Wealthy Mr. Jaundice sees Slats in a fight with Jaundice's nephew, and instantly hires Slats as a boxer. Plus a Li'l Abner storyline by Al Capp. Abbie an' Slats; The Captain and the Kids; Tarzan of the Apes; Wayne Webster's Problem; Cynical Susie; Broncho Bill; Looy Dot Dope; Dynamite Dunn; How to Make It; For Junior Readers; Stampin' Around; Nancy; Billy Make Believe; Alice in Wonderland; The Boomers; The Pet's Club; Grin and Bear It; Little Mary Mixup; Ella Cinders; Danny Dingle; Li'l Abner. 64 pages, Full Color.
