Stories by Hobart Donovan and Ed McConnell. Art by John Giunta, Henry Kiefer and August M. Froehlich, plus a possible contribution by Frank Frazetta. A classic giveaway comic from the Brown shoe company, named after one of the very earliest American comics characters, Buster Brown. A Persian boy becomes caught up in magic and intrigue after he frees a princesss fiance from a genies curse; Adventurer Chad and his Polynesian sidekick Kala seek sunken treasure in the South Pacific; plus the Smilin Ed song If I Could Have My Wishes. Although there are no art credits, some sources indicate the genie story was inked by Frank Frazetta. The Leathern Cord of Magic; If I Could Have My Wishes; Mysterious Treasure; Dude Ranch Desperado. 32 pages, Full Color. NOTE: Due to paper rationing during World War II, this issue is rare compared to other issues in the series. As per the cover blurb, "Sorry! This book has no heavy cover because of paper shortage!" the cover is newsprint rather than the typical heavier slick stock found of all other issues in the series.
