"Challenge of the Star-Hunter!", script by Gardner Fox, pencils by Mike Sekowsky, inks by Joe Giella; In Calcutta, India, Adam Strange is in the attendance of a number of explorers who wish to witness an ancient rope trick; When one of the locals explain that it's a trick, and nobody can disappear at the end of the rope, Adam Strange offers to prove him wrong; He manages to climb up in the air and - to everyones astonishment - disappear; However, none witnessing could guess that Adam really intercepted the next Zeta-Beam and is transported to Rann; Arriving on his adopted world, Adam finds himself greeted by Alanna and a delegation of people from Rann who inform Adam that a super-being known as Leothric has appeared and demanded to face Rann's chosen champion. "Power Girl," script by Paul Levitz, pencils by Joe Staton inks by Joe Orlando; Power Girl breaks through the roof of Gotham Citys Central Electronics factory, interrupting a robbery in progress; The thieves boss is looking for the micro-transformers produced by Central, and claims that even Power Girl cant stop them; Power Girl goes about proving them wrong, by taking out three of the four high-tech thieves; A ricocheting bullet delays Power Girl from apprehending the fourth thief, who flees the scene; The thief uses a high-tech escape vehicle, and takes a detour through the Gotham City Rail Line; This barely slows Power Girl down, who catches up to the thief, and disarms his explosive suicide jacket; Power Girl relaxes outside the city, thinking back on her life; She remembers her life on Argo City, when Zor-L and Allura, her parents, put her in an escape pod to escape Argo Citys death; Her rocket sent her to Earth, to become Power Girl; After calming down from her trip down memory lane, she returns to Gotham.
