The cover portrays the Amazing Spider-Man as he was first drawn by Steve Ditko in the silver age. The back cover by Steve Ditko is the original version of the cover to Amazing Fantasy 15. The splash page features an essay on the background of the Amazing Fantasy title and reduced-size versions of the splash pages from Amazing Fantasy 15 and Amazing Spider-Man 1 respectively.
