White cover edition; "Clean Fun, Starring Shoogafoots Jones" is a 1944 comic book by the Southern Book Company of Columbus, Ohio. The book features short stories in comic book format rife withg Jim Crow-era stereotypes of African-Americans from the South. Although the stereotypes are from a time that is now, thankfully, long past, Shoogafoots does perform some non-stereotypical deeds: In one story, he appears as a World War II flying ace, shooting down enemy planes and bombing Axis submarines. 28 pages with a slightly thicker cardboard cover which is also slightly larger than the interior pages. Cover price $0.10.
