Canadian Edition. Cover by Matt Baker. Stories and art by George Tuska, Howard Larsen, Paul Gattuso, and Dana Dutch. Tales of Western adventure shared space with adventure and mystery stories in this St. John anthology series. Outlaws Mike and Cheyenne Curtain and the "kill-crazy kid known only as Kansas" set out to rob 49ers of their gold bullion. Detective "Thug Hunt" tries to protect an oil heiress who's been targeted for murder, in a story with early art by future Marvel legend George Tuska. Voice-throwing hero Ventrilo investigates when death strikes an Arizona ghost town in the form of the sinister Dr. Fate (no relation to the DC hero). Cover by good-girl art legend Matt Baker. No issue number on cover, and no publication date or copyright notice for the comic oddity. This issue was published with the Women Outlaws cover, but the content (as confirmed in Overstreet) is Cody of the Pony Express #7. Other anomalies in this issue: 1) Back to back ad pages on page 33-34 are identical; 2) The first Cody story starts on page 2 of the story, but the comic is nonetheless a standard and complete 36-pages. This comic looks to have been put together in a rush, but we'll likely never know why Cody ended up inside a Women Outlaws cover! Cover price $0.10.
