Mopsy, one of the first female-centric comic strips, by pioneering female artist Gladys Parker, combines an Ever Meulen art style with pantomime-style gags and good-girl art. Mopsy gets a new job where she can meet more eligible bachelors, only to learn that neither the job nor the bachelors are what she expected. Mopsy goes fishing, but the fish aren't interested in bait, only her lunch. Mopsy's new "super-grow" gardening seeds have a strange effect on a passing rooster. Despite the US affiliation in the title, this was an original war comic from Canadian publisher Superior, focused on the then-new US Air Force. Johnny Anger and the Flying Dragons must prevent Chinese forces from taking the sea and cutting off supply lines to French Indochina, later known as Vietnam. Hotshot pilot Jim arrives in Korea, but his older brother Dave becomes over-protective regarding Jim's safety. Powerhouse Perkins thinks his adventures are over when he heads back to the States, but after the plane goes down in the ocean, he must save children from drowning. Issue has Donald Duck (Carl Barks story and art), the Li'l Bad Wolf, and Pluto in untitled stories and Mickey Mouse and Goofy in the conclusion of "The Case of the Hungry Ghost." Issue also has one-page and half-page gag strips and a one-page text feature "Pluto's Parade." The Donald Duck story is by Carl Barks.
