After the first two issues as a funny-animal comic, then MAD-style parody, Canadian publisher Superior converts Super Funnies to Western action. The Phantom Ranger must safeguard a railroad gold shipment from the outlaw Bates Gang and attacking Comanches alike. Ranchers hunt the wild black stallion Satana, but the rancher's young son bonds with the horse. El Tigre, the "Robin Hood of the West," and his sidekick Pancho are accused of murdering prospector Zeke, and must find the real killer to clear their names. The Phantom Ranger: The Doom Express; Satana; Arrow of Death; El Tigre; The Galloping Goof. Final issue of the series. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
