United's anthology featured reprints of early comic strips, including Tarzan, Li'l Abner and Nancy. The Mohawks baseball team is convinced that batboy Dink O'Day is a "lucky charm" as they head for the pennant. Sue manages to convince Slats to kiss her, just when Becky walks back into his life. But Becky's brought her new husband, in an Abbie an' Slats strip with fine art by Raeburn van Buren. Nellie accidentally throws out the masterpiece that Hap Hopper sends her, leading to a madcap chase to recover the painting. Plus a Li'l Abner storyline by Al Capp, the strip's final appearance in Sparkler Comics. And a Tarzan strip with art by Burne Hogarth.
