Cover by Gladys Parker. Stories and art by Gladys Parker and Pete Field. One of the first female-centric comic strips, by pioneering female artist Gladys Parker, Mopsy combines an Ever Meulen art style with pantomime-style gags and good-girl art. When Susie snipes the dress she wanted, Mopsy finds a "helpful" way to get even by hanging wallpaper, in a four-page story. Mopsy's dog keeps dragging her through the snow, so she makes a dogsled. Mopsy is a crack shot with a firearm, but not so hot with a vehicle. Plus "Mopsy Modes" paper dolls, showcasing the fashions of the era. Mopsy; Mopsy Modes; Girl's Swimming Meet; Pixie; Gag-Bag; Comedy Column. 36 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
