Vol. 46, No. 3. May 1937. Picture Play Magazine, originally titled Picture-Play Weekly was an American weekly published magazine centered around the movie industry during the golden-age of Hollywood. It was one of the earliest published tabloid style magazines that focused on celebrity gossip, but also included behind-the-scenes content, and movie reviews. It was first published on April 10, 1915, and ultimately transitioned from a weekly to a monthly publication before the end of it's production run in late 1941 after merging with Charm Magazine. This issue's articles include: "In His Father's Footsteps" Tyrone Power; "All the World Loves a Rover" Errol Flynn; "Sure of His Footing" Brian Aherne; and more. Full-page ads for "Personal Property" with Jean Harlow; "The Prince and the Pauper" with Errol Flynn; "Seventh Heaven" with Jimmy Stewart and Simone Simon; and "The Woman I Love" with Paul Muni and Miriam Hopkins.
