Harvey Kurtzmans legendary follow-up to the original MAD launched the careers of many future stars of comics, comedy and publishing, including associate editor Gloria Steinem. This issue features comics and stories by Kurtzman, Will Elder, and Stan Freberg, a reprint of Will Eisners Spirit story Sand Saref, and a fumetti starring artist Russ Heath. Most notoriously, it also contains Kurtzman and Elders infamous story Goodman Goes Playboy, which provoked a lawsuit from Archie Comics. As a result, many copies of this issue were destroyed.
