Suddenly, crime runs rampant, believing that they have nothing to fear...that is until Muscleman appears on the scene. A giant Djinn appears on the scene to challenge Muscleman, and the new hero finds himself really outclassed. The Flash decides to come out of retirement to deal with the Djinn, but when he discovers the foe is a mechanized man, it only reinforces his sudden retirement. The King story, script by Gardner F. Also, Archie takes a train trip and causes lots of trouble for salesman Elmer Q. Pluggett in "Train Trouble"! Meanwhile, in order to be a bee-tective, Bumbie needs to find his first case in "Crime Wave In Bugland"! Plus, Archie is cooking pancakes when the air raid siren goes off in "Pancakes In a Blackout"! Also, Squoimy the Woim has written a poem for Annabelle, but that bully Moe Squito keeps trying to get her attention in "Roses Are Red"! And Judy Price, a new girl in town, invites Archie to her Christmas party, but she doesn't tell him she has a twin sister in "The Case of the Missing Mistletoe!" Plus, Speedy wants to win the race for the reputation of all rabbits everywhere, but he keeps getting distracted in the Judge Owl's Fables tale "Slow and Steady Wins the Race"! McEvoy, John Striebel, Frank Beck and Mart Bailey. Big Shot featured reprints of McNaught Syndicate humor and adventure strips, alongside original characters like Skyman and The Face. Sparky Watts goes overseas to fight in World War II. In the original comic strip, Sparky died at this point when his creator Boody Rogers enlisted in World War II; in this reprint, Sparky survives to be drawn by other artists until Rogers' return. Koenig the Nazi spy uses a substitute bullet to throw off suspicions, but Vic Jordan notices strange yellow clay on his shoes that doesn't match his story. Bo the dog's family prepares him for his appearance in the Pet Show.
