    A comics legend whose name has become synonymous with EC's groundbreaking and iconic line of comics that caused a national uproar, Johnny Craig's influence on the medium cannot be understated. In his later years after mostly retiring from comics, Craig took up commission work creating fully painted pieces featuring the characters he helped create and define. This sketch is thought to be a prelim for one of these paintings. Includes a certificate of authenticity indicating that this piece is from the personal collection of Johnny Craig. Signed by the artist. Pencil on vellum which has been affixed to a sheet of heavy board. Art measures 7 1/2" x 9 1/2", full piece measures 9 1/2" x 11 1/2".
