Inks by Mike Esposito (as Mickey Demeo). Classic cover by John Romita. Mary Jane has a new job as a go-go dancer at the Gloom Room nightclub! And for MJ's opening night many of her friendsand city officials -- including Captain George Stacy -- attend the show. Interestingly, Mary Jane has a second task for the evening: take pictures of the club's guests with a special camera. After MJ snaps a photo of Gwen's father, he begins acting strangely and then disappears! Who is the owner of this nightclub by the way? Peter suspects that something is amiss, so he quickly changes clothes and swings into action! The night began with Peter Parker on a date with Gwen Stacy...and ends with the Amazing Spider-Manrescuing Mary Jane Watson! A fun issue! Cameo appearances by Aunt May, Harry Osborn, and the Kingpin. Following the tragic events of last issue, the downtrodden X-Men attend Professor X's funeral. The graveside service is briefly interrupted when the young mutants spot Quicksilver paying his respects from a distance. After the service the X-Men return to their Westchester mansion and listen to a posthumous message from their beloved mentor in which he, Charles Xavier, officially passes the torch to his students. In the meantime Quicksilver returns to Magneto'sAtlantic Island lair! But the erstwhile avenger is plagued with doubts about his decision to ally himself and his sister with the Master of Magnetism again! However Pietro doesn't have time to brood once Cyclops and his teammates discover Magneto's Atlantic hideaway!
