In a classic story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, the ghost ship seemingly sends Mickey back in time, where pirate Captain Greatbeard looks exactly like Peg Leg Pete. In a story by Barks, Donald refuses to take his nephews along on a picnic with Daisy, so they sabotage the picnic.
