August 1923. Cover by Howard V. Brown. This is a key issue in this mostly electronic and radio engineering magazine which also featured a classic science fiction serial or story in each issue. This issue collects four stories together in a science fiction cover feature. Considered the first science fiction issue, three years before the first issue of Amazing Stories. The cover by Howard Brown is significant as it is likely the earliest depiction of a space suit design most commonly used in future SF, comic book, and movie depictions. Fiction includes "The Man from the Atom" by G. Peyton Wertenbakero, "Doctor Hackensaws Secrets: The Secret of the Super-Telescope" by Clement Fezandiéo, "Around the Universe" by Ray Cummings and "Advanced Chemistry" by Jack Huekels. 9-in. x 12-in., 104 pages, B&W.
