NOTE: The Rocket was a free biweekly newspaper published from 1979–2000. It documented the local music scene, especially focusing on the music scene in and around Seattle. It features articles, interviews, cartoons, and concert calendars. The Rocket was way ahead of the curve of the Seattle Grunge BOOM of the early 90s as it featured articles and interviews with bands like Soundgarden and Nirvanna, even putting the bands on the cover, years before their mainstream breakouts on MTV.
