Based on the 1954 film "Long John Silver" starring Robert Newton, this comic presents the famed pirate as a hero, sailing the seas with his faithful pal Jim. Long John Silver and his men disguise themselves as Spanish nobles to rescue the Princess Josefina from the sinister Don Felipe. While their pirate ship is in dry-dock, thieves and judges alike are after the contents of Long John Silver's sea chest, rumored to be full of treasure. Captain Kidd and his crew rescue a man adrift on a raft, but it turns out to be a trap set by another pirate captain to capture Kidd's ship.
