Wash Tubbs and Captain Easy hop a train and ride with the hoboes - at least until Easy loses the boot that's got their money in it. Nan Cameron turns Tom Mix over to Carter's outlaws, who plan to shoot him, but Hank arrives just in time. As Agent X32 questions Miss Evans about the kidnapping, a shot is fired through the window, and Tom is injured in the resulting shootout.
