This issue features Donald Duck's first appearance in a magazine or comic book. Although this issue of Good Housekeeping is cover dated June, 1934,it was on the newsstand a month earlier when the "Wise Little Hen," a Silly Symphony cartoon, debut on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The beautiful "Wise Little Hen" two-page, full-color art is by Thomas Wood. This issue of Good Housekeeping also contains "Canyon Kiddies," a historic and long out of print comic page about American Indians by James Swinnerton.
