Bob Gale/Phil Winslade ? THE SEASONAL SCOOP: It's a Wonderful Life, Home Alone and the smallest super heroes in the Marvel Universe collide in a cascade of Christmas craziness! ? THE HEART-WARMING FABLE: Ahhhh... Christmas. A wondrous time of joy, celebration and family. Well, this holiday season, the Marvel Knights crew have something a little different to throw in the mix?and by "little" we mean Ant-Man and the Wasp! It all starts out with a wish sent to Avengers Mansion by a young lad named Larry Magruder. It seems that Larry shares with us the one thing we all have in common on Christmas Day. Gifts? Nope! The Peanuts Christmas cartoon? Wrong again! Relatives sent to destroy all of your fun? Why yes! But this year Larry's going to receive some special visitors who will change all that... guests named Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne! This holiday adventure, created in the same spirit as the classic Golden Age Christmas tales of old, will prove to be the perfect gift for readers of all ages! So have your milk and cookies ready, because the Avengers are coming to town! ? SANTA'S LITTLE HELPERS: Joining us for this merry Marvel Knights celebration are Bob Gale (writer of "Back To The Future," one of the most popular movies of all time) and penciler Phil Winslade (Wonder Woman: Amazonia, Goddess), whose detailed drawings bring the Lilliputian action leaping to life! ? THE CHRISTMAS QUOTES: "The tale is in current continuity, but it's Hank Pym as Ant-Man, not Scott Lang," Gale recently told Newsarama. "Why? Well, because to us old-timers, Hank Pym is Ant-Man, and heck, it's a comic book, and we can do that... But for the continuity geeks, there is a reference to Mr. Lang so that no one should get too upset. Basically, Hank and Janet are having an argument about why neither one wants to spend Christmas with the other one's family when they get a letter from a 12-year-old boy who invites them to spend Christmas with his family. The gag is, the kid hates his relatives (with good reason), and hopes that Ant-Man and Wasp can shake things up a little around his house so that Christmas is fun instead of miserably aggravating. It's something of a warped Christmas, but I figure for most people, that's the rule rather than the exception. I've always liked stories where super heroes interact with normal people, and that's what this is, in spades." ? THE PACKAGE: Nary an ad appears in this 48-page one-shot. ? Cover price $5.95.
