Monster World 1-10 has the same editorial staff as Famous Monsters of Filmland, and the magazine's brief run is essentially considered to be issues 70-79 of Famous Monsters. Beginning with issue #80, Famous Monsters went back to its original name. Features in Monster World #1 include: an intro to the "new" magazine by publisher James Warren; a comic book reprint of The Mummy (by Russ Jones and Wally Wood); filmbook The Black Sleep; "Terror Talk" by Bill Obbagy; and more.
