However, Kurumi cannot be activated by her makers, and she lies in the machine equivalent of a coma. Nakahito, the son of practitioners of the magical technique called "Onmyo Way," stumbles upon the inert goddess, and struck by her amazing beauty, gently kisses her perfect lips. With this kiss, the Steel Angel Kurumi comes to life, and Nakahito becomes her master. The gorgeous and voluptuous Kurumi will now do anything to protect her master with her invincible power. But first, critical questions about Kurumi's origins must be answered: "Why and where was Kurumi created? Who created her?" Nakahito and Kurumi set out on a dangerous search to find the answers to these questions and, along their journey, they are forced to ask an additional question: "Who is behind the insidious activation of other Steel Angels whose only mission is to destroy the beautiful Steel Angel Kurumi?" Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 172 pages, B&W. Mature Readers NOTE: These are Japanese manga-style GNs and are meant to be read right-to-left. Cover price $9.99.

Volume 4 - 1st printing. Story and art by Kaishaku. Kurumi and her friends try their luck at being idol singers. "Discovered" and "trained" by a mysterious mummy man wearing a suit (Mikhail), they rise to fame with the release of their first record. Unfortunately, their fame only makes them a threat to two envious, established stars, who want to see the "Steel Angel Trio" out of the picture. As the Steel Fight competition nears the end of its first stage, Kurumi, Saki, and Karinka (who are all unaware that the competition is going on) learn that Kaga and two other angels of destruction are impersonating them, using their advanced powers to destroy the normal Steel Angels, snatch their emblems, and give Kurumi the "points." His cover ultimately blown, Kaga reveals that Dr. Ayanokoji is at the Academy, but that the Steel Angel Trio will have to compete in that final round to learn anything more. Finally, a strange girl is scared off during Kurumi's date with Nakahito, a girl, who - in an unexpected turn of events - is revealed to readers (but not the steel angels) as none other than... Shinobu Jinguji! Softcover, 5-in. x 7-in., 172 pages, B&W. Mature Readers NOTE: These are Japanese manga-style GNs and are meant to be read right-to-left. Cover price $9.99.
