Promotional magazine for retailers announcing the DC comics scheduled to be published in April 1991. From the cover: "Forever and Ever...KID ETERNITY - He'll scare the living daylights out of you. He's Kid Eternity. DC Comics presents a Prestige Format, 3-issue miniseries starring the teenager who's neither dead nor alive. Mistakenly taken before his time to the afterlife, the powers above compensated Kid Eternity with supernatural powers and the ability to bring back the dead. Now, DC Comics gives the "Kid" a new and different life as Grant Morrison brings his own special brand of storytelling to the character. (Kid Eternity was originally published in the late 1940s.) The radical, free-spirited Kid Eternity is an agent of Chaos, in a story where the forces of Chaos and Order aren't what you think they are. The "Kid" must free his partner, Mr. Keeper, from his indentured servitude in Limbo before he can get on with his mission -- helping the Lords of Chaos in their battle against the rigid Lords of Order. This unique series explores horror, madness, and chaos. Kid Eternity is a hero for the '90s whose vision extends beyond the limitations imposed by order and morality. The "Kid" uses chaos magic supposedly to elevate humankind's existence, but that path is paved with demons, death, and deadly diversions when an entanglement with a sleazy evangelist and a stand-up comedian gets in the way. Everyone is swept away in madness as this nightmarish excursion into the netherworld sheds light on a new perspective of good and evil, life and death. An ultra-modern, nihilistic tale of a being with a bizarrely skewed vision of the world is the story of KID ETERNITY. Written by fan and critical favorite Grant Morrison, the writer of the revamped DOOM PATROL, ANIMAL MAN, and ARKHAM ASYLUM, and illustrated by newcomer Duncan Fegredo, KID ETERNITY is an example of the kind of adult, hard-hitting comic DC is famous for. Fegredo's work has been seen in the "Third World War" in 2000 AD's companion publication Crisis. Fegredo's art style (as shown in the accompanying illustrations) is in the mode of the best of the new wave of young painters currently sweeping comics. KID ETERNITY is scheduled to ship every six weeks from Ronalds Printing. The first issue is scheduled to ship February 19. Each of the three 48-page issues of this Prestige Format miniseries is priced at $4.95. KID ETERNITY is Suggested for Mature Readers." 8 1/2-in. x 11-in., 18 slick pages, B&W.
