Big Questions GN (2005- Drawn and Quarterly) comic books 2005-2007

Volume 7 - 1st printing. "Dinner and a Nap!" By Anders Nilsen. D+Q takes over publishing Big Questions, one of the best independent comics in recent years, written and drawn by rising star Anders Nilsen. Big Questions has evolved steadily from a modest Xerox project to its current ambitious state over the span of a few short years. Nilsen's work has garnered numerous grants, including the Xeric, and has earned him Ignatz award nominations for Promising New Talent and Outstanding Comic. Nilsen has also authored the successful one-shot Dogs And Water (offered again this month) and appears regularly in Kramers Ergot. New from 2005 Ignatz Award winner Anders Nilsen, Big Questions #8 features a rainstorm, an apparent drowning, the pilot losing himself in the forest, Algernon descending deeper underground than he could ever have imagined, and a return from the dead. The issue also features a synopsis of the story so far, an overview of the main characters, and a lesson in the anatomy of a giant. 40 pages, with a painted cover. Big Questions #9 continues the story of our heroic birds struggling to (mis)interpret the explosion and plane crash that have turned their world upside down. In this issue, the idiot and pilot meet to mixed results, Betty battles a small flock of crows, and Algernon is momentarily reunited with his lost love, Thelma. Volume 10 - 1st printing. "The Covenant!" By Anders Nilsen. Anders Nilsen is recognized as being one of the most talented new cartoonists of recent years. Aside from having authored the books Don't Go Where I Can't Follow and The End, Nilsen is also known for his somber and haunting comic series, Big Questions. Night falls at the crash site.
