The new format that started with issue #84 allows for larger reprints of Raeburn van Buren's detailed art on "Abbie an' Slats." Slats' new female boss becomes infatuated with him, and tries to make him jealous. Lost in the jungle, the Captain and the Kids happen upon Professor McDipp and the trained monkeys of his "Jungle School." But when all seems lost, they are saved by the beautiful Princess Tamale and her trained animals. Slats and Becky finally get married, after years of false starts and missed opportunities. But then Bathless tells them that the "preacher" who married them is actually con man "Bless You" Bailey.
