Hudnall, pencils by Ken Bivins, inks by Craig Gilmore (pgs. 1-2) and John Lowe (pgs. 3-24); Different people are reacting to Hardcase's disappearance; Turf vows vengeance against Hardcase, who was recently apprehended by him; The Omega Team try to pick up the pieces as mercenary killers after having faced several defeats against Hardcase; MEanwhile, Hardcase finds himself on the Godwheel where he fights for Ogma, a sentient computer program; Hardcase demands to be taken to Choice, who he hasn't seen in quite some time; Ogma sends him to Choice for a limited time; They reunite and she informs him that she is pregnant; They discuss their different missions before Hardcase is teleported away by Ogma; Hardcase eventually arrives at him home to find it demolished from his fights against Hardwire and NM-E. Hudnall, pencils by Tim Hamilton, inks by Philip Moy, Scott Reed, and Dan Schaffer; While Trauma uses her unique style of telekinesis to kill a former KGB agent, Hardcase speaks to Detective Chuck Brown to brief him on his current activities; He also tries to find out if Detective Brown had any information on the enigmatic Rex Mundi but Detective Brown only thought he was a myth or an urban legend; Hardcase decides to use the internet to hire mercenaries that were in the emply of Rex Mundi; He's able to get in contact with Trouble, a member of the Omega Team; They meet in a dingy bar where Hardcase pays Trouble for information on Rex; Trouble explains his connection with Rex Mundi but refuses the money; he wants Hardcase to kill Rex Mundi for this information. Unbeknown to both of them, Rex Mundi and Trauma are in the same bar observing. 36 pgs., full color. $2.50. Cover price $2.50.

Hudnall, pencils by Tim Hamilton, inks by Philip Moy; Loki, on the Godwheel, searches for the Infinity Gems and finds that some of them have landed in the Ultraverse; Hardcase, accused of killing Trouble, is questioned by police and then released since there is no evidence to incriminate him; Hardcase travels to the desert to think in meditation when he sees a meteor crash. He goes to investigate but it's actually the Time Gem; He places it on his head and immediately knows how to use it. He goes in the past to the last battle of the Squad, his former teammates, and tries to change fate; He travels back and follows where NM-E came from, so he could track Rex Mundi. When that proves fruitless, he helps the Squad defeat NM-E and travels back to his normal time; Expecting to find the Squad still alive, he is surprised when he finds that they still died due to another plan of Rex Mundi. 36 pgs., full color. $2.50. Hunt and scares him into revealing the location of Rex Mundi; When he goes to the secret location, Hardcase learns that it was a set-up because the building explodes; Hardcase then speaks to Tech of the Solution to find out where the Quattro may be. Shadowmage informs him where Death Dance and Meathook are; Hardcase goes to visit them and they attack him, thinking they're in a fight; After Hardcase resolves the confusion, Death Dance and Meathook informs him where they could find Rex; Meanwhile, the new Choice that Hardcase inadvertently 'created' by altering the time stream arrives at Hardcase's office to find him. At the same time, the real Choice arrives from Godwheel to find Hardcase's home in shambles. 36 pgs., full color. $2.50. Cover price $2.50.

Hudnall, pencils by Hugh Haynes, inks by Philip Moy; Hardcase arrives to the mountain that Death Dance and Meathook directed him to find Rex Mundi; While there, creatures made of the earth rise from the ground and attack Hardcase; They battle for a while and Hardcase contemplates what the Alternate told him before, that he has powers he has no idea about; Suddenly the creatures in contact with him become frozen; Defeating the creatures, Hardcase finds a way into the mountain and then underground, to the lair of Rex Mundi; Meanwhile, the original Choice arrives to find Hardcase; She is surprised to find another woman taking the Choice identity, which makes her angry; She believes that the Choice Corporation cloned her and they fight. 36 pgs., full color. $2.50. Hudnall, pencils by Hugh Haynes, inks by Philip Moy and Aubrey Bradford; Hardcase finally confront Rex Mundi. Rex Mundi captures him and explains to him his origin; Rex Mundi is the world's first true ultra and he created the Alternate out of his own body, making an equal; The Alternate didn't agree with Rex Mundi's agenda of controlling the world and destroying all ultras because they were a risk to his agenda; The Alternate, Regina, opposed Rex Mundi since then. Rex Mundi created NM-E to be his ultra destroyer; While Rex reveals this information, Hardcase realizes that he's much more powerful than he thought; He uses this newfound power to time travel and stop his past self from saving the Squad; When that occurs, the original Choice kills the newest Choice. Hardcase arrives back in Rex Mundi's lair and is disrupted by an attack from the Alternate in NM-E's armor; The battle is waged as they release Hardcase from the lair; Realizing the fight was not his anymore and that he defeated Rex in his own way, Hardcase goes back to his office to find Choice there, ready to start a life together with him. 36 pgs., full color. $2.50.
