"My Name Is... Robot X!", art by Paul Reinman; A criminal forces his robot assistant to help him commit crimes, but he is captured when the robot rusts and is jammed during a robbery. "I Was Trapped Inside the Martian Maze," art by Steve Ditko; The Martians force anyone wanting to trade with them to solve a puzzle; All of the scientists sent there fail, but the ship's steward realizes that the trick is done with a simple treadmill. "I Fought the Molten Man-Thing!", script by Stan Lee, pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Steve Ditko; An airline pilot goes on vacation after a traumatic crash, but witness a volcanic eruption and strange creature; He uses a wind tunnel to drive the lava-covered creature back beneath the surface. 36 pages, full color. "I Am the Changing Man!", art by Steve Ditko; A shape-changing alien assumes the identity of trusted figures to sow panic; He is caught when he assumes the form of a dog he sees on a poster, not noticing that it is on a space flight for the next year. "The Recipe" text story. "The Runaway Planet!", art by Doug Wildey; A professor believes that a planet on a collision course will not destroy Earth because of the power that governs the universe; The planet is actually a spaceship come to greet the humans. "Time on My Hands!", art by John Forte; A man steals a time machine to learn how to get rich but is stranded when he accidentally leaves it in a garbage incinerator. "Earth Will Be Destroyed!", art by Steve Ditko; Aliens plot to devastate Earth before invading, but they cannot pinpoint its location; They are unaware that they are on Earth as a speck of dust in a petri dish, which is casually discarded. Medusa!", art by Steve Ditko; A curio shop owner tells customers that a strange statue is a burglar turned to stone by Medusa; No one believes him, but none dare open the door which he says leads to Medusa.     Here's one of Buddy's favorite Kirby/Ayers pre-superhero monster covers! While still in junior high school, Buddy found a copy at a C.B. Berry Elementary Halloween carnival. In those days kids (but not Buddy) contributed comics to be sold at five cents each. Needless to say, Buddy loaded up!

"Those Who Lurk Below!", art by Steve Ditko; A sadistic jailer buys a book detailing an alien civilization that has retreated below the Earth in order to avoid surface climate change in order to torment his prisoner with false hope of escape. "The Monster in My Cellar!", art by Reed Crandall; Wanting to give his editor a monster story to end all monster stories, a science fiction writer's imagination somehow makes the monster in his story real; He fights in the cellar and upstairs until he can imagine it out of existence. "I Met the Thing on Midnight Island!", art by Don Heck; A sailor finds a note from a castaway, but on the island named he finds only a strange creature; When an alien ship arrives to pick up the creature, he realizes that it was a castaway. 36 pages, full color.
